Integrated Program in Management Aptitude Test or IPMAT is a national level aptitude test conducted by the Indian Institute of Management Indore . This national level test is a gateway for admission to the five-year Integrated Program in Management offered at IIM’s.
IPMAT is a combination of a Bachelor's degree and a Master's degree (under the dual-degree programme) offered by IIM.The programme is designed for students who wish to take up a career in managerial and business fields.
IPMAT 2022 will be held in online mode followed by a Personal Interview (PI). The programme is spread across a period of five years and consists of 15 terms. Every year constitutes three terms of three months duration.
WHY IPMAT
This is a gateway for admission to the five-year Integrated Program in Management offered at IIM’s.
IPMAT is worth it getting selects into IIMs right after intermediate, is like a dream come true, as overcoming the tough competition in CAT is something no one wants with an option like IPMAT.
This program is not yet known to so many people, so the competition is not very fierce at this point when compared to CAT. CAT students include IIT, Bits, NIT, Thapar and more. However, at IPMAT, it's certainly fierce, but not so much, as all candidates have just passed class 12.

Eligibility Criteria
IPMAT 2022 Eligibility Criteria
Every IIM will have their way of mentioning the eligibility criteria, but on a whole, there are three main requirements:
1. Age Limit: You should be less than 20 years of age as of July 31st of the year you’re taking the IPMAT, in this case, IPMAT 2022. So, you should have been born after 31st July 2001.
2. Minimum scores in 10th and 12th standard: You should have a minimum of 60% in Standard X/SSC and Standard XII/HSC or other equivalent examinations. If you belong to the SC/ST/PWD category, the minimum % of marks is 55%.
3. Required Documents: Keep your Standard X/SSC and Standard XII/HSC or other equivalent examinations’ mark sheets and migration/leaving certificate ready during the time of registration itself. Should you fail to produce these documents, your admission offer will be canceled.
Note: To apply to IPM programs in 2022, you should have completed Standard XII/HSC or equivalent examinations by June/July of 2022.
Admission Process for IPMAT
IIM Indore IPMAT 2022 admission process is shared below. The students will undergo a rigorous IPMAT 2022 selection process to get admission into IIM Indore through IPM Exams.
- Application Submission for IPMAT 2022: Candidates for the IPMAT 2022 must be enrolled in the exam. The application form must be submitted by the deadline. We recommend that you review your eligibility criteria before filling out the application form. The IPMAT 2022 application is intended to help students understand the student’s proficiency in the academics, as well as the co-curricular activities that the applicant will complete.
- Appear in Entrance Exam IPMAT: All applicants are required to take the IPMAT entrance exam. IPMAT tests a candidate’s aptitude, reasoning, English and math skills. IPMAT is conducted in online mode and the test time is 2 hours.
- Personal Interview/Video Interview: Those who clear the IPMAT 2022 exam cut offs will be shortlisted for further rounds of selection process. The shortlisted candidates on the basis of IPMAT 2022 need to appear for personal interviews. The interview judges the students’ level of confidence, communication skills, general awareness, persuasion skills and knowledge. Last year, due to Covid-19 pandemic IIM Indore conducted Video Assessment process instead of personal interviews. Shortlisted candidates were required to upload a self recorded video file.
- Final Admission: Best 150 candidates who have done well in IPMAT, have good academics, perform well in personal interview, are granted admission to this prestigious 5 year IPM course.

Selection Process & Cut-Offs
Admissions to IIM Indore's Five-Year Integrated Management Programme are based on the scores obtained by the students in IPMAT written exam, Personal Interview/Group Discussion. The exam authorities release a list of eligible candidates after the IPMAT exam who can appear for the Personal Interview. The final selection of candidates will be conducted on the basis of the Composite Scores (CS) computed on the basis of the following.
IPM cutoff or IPMAT cutoff is released by IIM Rohtak and IIM Indore. IPM cutoff for IIM Indore for 2020 was 144 and IPMAT IIM Rohtak Cutoff 2019 was 100.
